Approval on Issuing Shares
The CMA supervises the market of issuing shares; whether of shares on establishment of new companies, capital increase, decrease amendment of nominal value or amendment of share types through public or closed subscription or through private placement.
Approval on Issuing Bonds
The CMA receives, studies and reviews notifications of issuing bonds and financial notes presented by Egyptian joint stock companies. Data of bond-issuing companies are verified and legal pledges and statements are completed concerning the bond issuing procedures, mortgages or patents on company assets as well as the company’s financial position. The CMA also verifies if the company complies with Egyptian Accounting and Auditing Standards in order to meet disclosure requirements of actual financial position for the past three years or estimates during the years of bonds and financial notes. Finally, data and information included in bond prospectuses are checked.
